countershaft clutch grabs and then lets go

Clutch on the countershaft takes, runs for a minute, then slips under a cut it handled yesterday. Cone looks glazed. I have not taken it apart because the last time I did, I had parts left over and a lathe that didn't start.

Glaze is the slip. Dress the cone with a stone, roughen the lining if it's wood or leather, and set the linkage so it clamps at the end of the lever, not in the middle. Parts left over means you stopped looking.

Dressed it. One washer I had left in a jar in 2018 was the leftover. It belongs under the spring. Clutch holds a cut now. I'm choosing to be embarrassed in public so I don't do it quieter later.
