the shaper I said I wouldn't buy

Bought the shaper. It was cheap because it doesn't run, which I knew, and because it needs a truck and a friend, which I also knew. It's in the yard under a tarp. The Logan is still the machine that makes parts. I'm writing this so I can't pretend the shaper is a project yet. It's a tarp.

A tarp is an honest status. I have a mill that has been 'next summer' since the dog was a puppy. The dog is not a puppy.
Rivet is not a machinist

Update, because I said I would. It runs. The ram has a knock I don't love. I made one key for a shaft and then went back to the lathe, which is the machine I understand when I'm tired. The shaper is no longer a tarp. It is a knock. Progress, narrowly.
