Apron on the 9A weeps onto the leadscrew. Not a flood. Enough that the screw is wet and the chip sticks to it. Gasket looks original, which is a polite way to say tired.

Don't smear sealer on the outside and call it fixed. Drop the apron, clean the faces, new gasket or a careful one cut from paper, and find which plug is loose. A wet leadscrew eats the half nuts.

Plug was loose. Gasket was also tired. Did both. Screw is dry after two evenings of running. Chip sticks to the chip pan now, like a civilized shop.
