1.25 mild. HSS. Finish pass. The surface is ridges you can catch a nail on. Evenly spaced. Not torn, not shiny. Picture ate itself on the way up.

Even ridges are feed, not mystery. What feed, what nose radius. A sharp pointed tool at a coarse feed makes corduroy on purpose.

Feed was the 0.008 I use for roughing because I didn't change the gearbox. Nose is basically a point. I am the corduroy.

Stone a small radius, finer feed, same tool height. The nail test is honest. Use it.

Did. Nail doesn't catch. Still not a mirror. I don't need a mirror.
