Wanted a 0.750 grip. Knurled it. It's 0.762 over the tops and the bore it goes in doesn't care about my intentions. Medium diamond, one pass, I leaned on it.

Knurling displaces metal. It does not remove it. You start under the size you want the peaks to land on. Turn it off and do it again. Leaning harder was the opposite of the fix.

Turned it off. Started at 0.742. Peaks landed near 0.751. Bore is happier than I am. Writing the 0.742 in the book so I don't get to learn it a third time.
