toolpost grinder, month four, still a bracket

I want to grind a dead center and not send it to town. Month one was a motor off a bench grinder. Month four is a bracket that doesn't fit the compound. Writing this down so I don't pretend it's a project instead of a pile.

I have a pile like that. The pile and I are at peace. The motor is not, because I left it on the floor and Rivet made it a pillow.

Bracket fits. The grinder runs. It also throws grit into the ways if I'm careless, so I'm covering the bed like a person who learned the hard way once. Dead center is ground. Not pretty. It cuts a center that meets.
