drawbar or a closer, for a lathe that sees collets twice a year

Brother's Logan has a 5C nose adapter and a drawbar made out of allthread and optimism. We use collets maybe twice a year. A lever closer is a pile of money for a twice-a-year grip. Am I talking him out of a tool he wants, or out of a tool he doesn't need.

Twice a year, keep the drawbar and make it a real one. A closer pays when you're changing collets every ten minutes. He isn't.

Told him. He looked relieved, which means he wanted the permission, not the closer. I'll make a drawbar that isn't allthread the next weekend I'm up there.
